Royal Warrants

Dating back to the advent of the monarchy, Royal Warrants of Appointment have always been regarded as a symbol of service, quality and excellence.

John McCarthy began supplying the Royal Household in the late 60s, granted the Royal Warrant for HM The Queen in 1970. personally overseeing the quality of every item delivered when the Royal Family visited Norfolk, including HM The Queen’s annual residencies at Sandringham House.

John was also a founding member of the Sandringham Association of Royal Warrant Holders, becoming president in 1985. His son, Simon, followed suit in 2012, making the McCarthy family only the second in the Sandringham Association’s history to have a second generation president.

McCarthys continues to supply the Royal Households to this day, at one point in time holding three separate warrants to HM The Queen, HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and HRH The Prince of Wales (the latter two both granted in 1990).

There are some 800 Royal Warrant holders in the UK today and we’re honoured to be recognised as part of this highly respected cross-section of British trade and industry.
