Our preparation and production department was first established over 30 years ago and has since become one of our proudest accomplishments, supplying wholesale packed and prepared foods to all areas of the food industry. Packaged under our own Pick-local brand, every one of our freshly prepared products is packed to order, washed and ready for use, and is subjected to the extensive quality controls that have earned us our SALSA accreditation, so you can be confident of only the very highest quality standards. While our extensive and ever-expanding range offers plenty of choice for most of our customers, we are also able to create unique products to match any individual specifications and requirements, and can even pack produce into retail packs for resellers.

SALSA

SALSA is a robust and effective food safety certification scheme, with approval granted only to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce and supply safe and legal food whilst continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard. Recognised Industry Standards Approved suppliers can demonstrate that they operate to standards that are recognised and accepted across the industry and exceed the minimum standards expected by enforcement authorities.

Pick-local

Pick-local is a trading name of McCarthys, and is printed as a seal of approval on all of our prepared products. Using the Pick-local brand gives our customers the ability to resell our product without the McCarthy brand whilst maintaining our quality and traceability. Our products are subject to extensive shelf-life trials, so our best-before dates provide long-life as well as guaranteeing food safety when the product is stored correctly.
