Martin has over 40 years experience at McCarthys, having started while still at school and serving the time-honoured family tradition of starting at the bottom and working his way up, covering every area of the business. Today, he oversees the continuing development of the preparation department, which he started 25 years ago, and is still responsible for our deliveries and transport.
Simon joined McCarthys in 1977 and became manager of the Great Yarmouth depot in 1989, overseeing the merging of our Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft operations. He was awarded the Royal Warrant to HRH The Prince of Wales in 1995, which he still holds to this day, and became president of the Sandringham Association of Royal Warrant Holders in 2012. Today, Simon is responsible for our larger clients as key account manager.
David has been at the helm of the McCarthys purchasing department for over 25 years, gaining invaluable knowledge of both local and international markets, and using this expertise to cement relationships with suppliers across the globe. Whether he’s working alongside local growers or negotiating contracts with international players, David’s experience and familiarity with the product and market allows us to negotiate the very best prices for our customers.
Peter began work at McCarthys in the warehouse in 1983 and has since worked across many different areas of the business, including deliveries, customer relations and telesales. With increased demand for wider choice and our constantly expanding range of products, Peter now specialises in sourcing and purchasing products for the foodservice and catering industry; including drinks, baked goods, dairy products and much more.
