Thanks to Chapman electricians, we have been able to make improvements to our lighting systems, removing old metal halide fittings and replacing them with modern, efficient, eco-friendly LEDs. Combined with built in PIRs (Passive Infrared Sensors), the lights use less than a quarter of the energy of their predecessors; and more importantly produce less heat, reducing the demand on the warehouse refrigeration.

Whilst our old units took time to warm up and reach full brightness, the new LEDs is that they can be turned on and off at will, giving us immediate and full light levels.

This means that our lamps can now be switched off when the area is not in constant use, saving yet more resource, helping McCarthys towards a cleaner, brighter future.
